Intimate Omakase at Otoki

Dress to the nines or choose smart casuals and seat yourself at the Omakase table at Otoki in Colaba, a fine-dining Japanese restaurant by Pranav Rungta, behind Nksha. Word of caution: skip lunch on the Wednesday you choose to dine here, you’ll thank us later!

Hosted every Wednesday at 7:30 pm, Omakase Himitsu Nights are presented to you by Chef Mohit Singh, whose culinary journey includes extensive experience in Japan, notably at the acclaimed three-Michelin-starred Kikunoi Honten in Kyoto. Drawing from this foundation, Chef Mohit presents a meticulously crafted 14-course progression that reflects precision and a deep respect for Japanese culinary traditions, with only the freshest ingredients imported from Japan.

Seafood only, and strictly non-vegetarian, the meal will leave you wanting more (the following Wednesday) and can be exemplified with a sake experience by Sake Sommelier Kalpesh, if you so desire. Conceived as a calm and refined mid-week ritual, the experience invites diners to slow down, engage with each course, and discover the nuances of omakase dining in an exclusive setting.

Loosen your pants and make the most of the two-hour journey, which serves up signature courses such as Kani Chawanmushi, Smoked Otoro Sashimi, Zuke Akami Nigiri, and Textured Dessert, each highlighting the balance of flavour, technique and ingredient that define the experience. Chef Mohit and the team keep the menu a ‘himitsu’ – a Japanese secret, so you really don’t know what you’ll get each week. Yes, they switch it up as best they can!

Derived from the Japanese phrase, omakase means "I leave it up to you." Leave it up to the chefs at Otoki and calm your senses mid-week the Japanese way!

Reserve your seats at Rs 9500 onwards exclusively through District. Given the highly limited format of just six guests per seating, advance reservations are strongly recommended to secure a place at the table.
