Hilton Debuts in Hyderabad

Hilton Hyderabad Genome Valley Resort & Spa reveals itself gradually, rising from the open stretches of the city’s biotech corridor as though it belongs to the landscape. Surrounded by acres of green, waterbodies and uninterrupted sky, it feels less like a hotel placed in nature and more like one shaped by it.
General Manager Amandeep Grover points to the biodiversity pockets woven through the property, explaining that preservation guided the build. “Nothing important was cut,” he says, noting the birds that frequent the lotus mandapam. That instinct to retain rather than replace defines the resort’s rhythm.
Spread across nine blocks, the property houses 115 keys, from base and view rooms to suites, pool villas and a presidential villa. Higher ceilings, generous layouts and distinct formats differentiate categories. Suites occupy a dedicated wing, while villas with private plunge pools sit framed by mature trees the owners chose to preserve.
Dining anchors the social energy of the resort. Grid 78, named after the longitude on which the property stands, blends compass-inspired graphics with 'glocal' tapas and cocktails. Gingerfire delivers bold Asian flavours with familiarity, Nero reimagines poolside dining, and Drip offers artisanal coffee and pastries. The culinary high point, however, is Yuzu.Marking its Hyderabad debut, Yuzu introduces Japanese–Peruvian Nikkei cuisine as a permanent offering. Led by Chef Palden Sherpa, whose experience spans luxury spaces, the restaurant is technique-forward and restrained. Japanese methods form the base, layered with Thai, Chinese and Peruvian influences. Citrus-led dishes such as Tokyo Tiradito with hamachi and yuzu ponzu, Salmon Bonito Ceviche, and a Seven-Day Cured Beet Ceviche reflect clarity and precision. Robata preparations and char-grilled meats underline a confident open-flame approach. The beverage programme mirrors this balance, translating Asian ingredients into structured cocktails and thoughtful zero-proof options.
Culture runs quietly but firmly through the design. Each block is named after native birds such as the Indian Roller or Palapitta, Telangana’s state bird. Architectural cues draw from the Kakatiya legacy, with motifs inspired by Warangal’s Thousand Pillar Temple appearing across uniforms, carpets and event spaces. Local stone, rust-toned lighting and handcrafted Etikoppaka wood chandeliers reinforce a language of restraint. “Hyderabad has so much culture that was forgotten somewhere. We wanted to bring it back, softly,” says Grover.
The landscape remains the resort’s greatest luxury. Creek walks, lotus decks, mandap spaces and pools unfold organically. Within this setting, the newly launched Eforea Spa makes its India debut, bringing a wellness approach shaped by global training and local traditions.
Here, architecture, cuisine and nature move in quiet alignment, allowing the property to be rooted, rather than imposed.
